The Student List won 53.01 percent of the vote in Serbia's snap parliamentary election, and the "Aleksandar Vučić – United Serbia" list 38.98 percent, the Republic Electoral Commission (RIK) said after voting was re-run at 53 polling stations on November 2. According to RIK figures reported by Danas, 4,444,310 people voted, or 68.89 percent of the electorate.

Under the preliminary seat allocation RIK published on election night, the Student List takes about 140 and United Serbia about 104 of the 250 seats. A majority requires 126. Ivica Dačić's list failed to clear the 3 percent threshold (2.13 percent), while national-minority lists, including the Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians, also won seats.

"Change starts now"

Aleksandar Vučić conceded on election night: "Based on the stratified sample, it is clear that we have lost the election," he said, according to Euronews. At a news conference on October 29, BBC Serbian reported, he accused the Student List of "terror" and said the SNS parliamentary group would be called "Serbia Against Terror".

The same day, in Pionirski Park, where a pro-government camp had stood until recently, the Student List said "change starts now" and called for a "peaceful and lawful transfer of power". Its demands include the resignations of the police director and the heads of Telekom and the public broadcaster RTS, and a review of the Expo 2027 and Belgrade Waterfront projects.

Under the Constitution, the 90-day deadline to elect a government runs from the constitution of the new National Assembly.

The final seat allocation will be known once the results are officially declared.
