Corrections policy

Everyone makes mistakes; what matters is how we correct them.

  • Factual errors are corrected as soon as possible after we become aware of them. A Correction note with the date and a description of the change is added at the end of the article.
  • Minor fixes (spelling, grammar, formatting) that do not change the meaning are made without a note.
  • Serious errors that change the substance of an article are corrected with a clearly visible note at the top.
  • Removal of articles happens only exceptionally (e.g. for the safety of individuals or by court order) and is disclosed publicly.
  • Right of reply: a person or institution concerned by an article may request publication of a reply. We publish replies without undue delay, provided they are proportionate and not abusive.

Send correction and reply requests to info@military-affairs.com with a link to the article and an explanation.
