From 16:00 UTC on November 6 to the morning, Russia launched 172 strike drones at Ukraine, 137 of them jet-powered Shaheds, along with Iskander-M, Zircon, KN-23 and S-400 missiles, Ukraine's Air Force said. Four missiles and 149 drones were downed or suppressed; hits were recorded at 24 locations and debris fell at ten. The total number of missiles launched was not released.

Kyiv was hit by ballistic missiles in several waves. Five people were injured, including a 14-year-old girl. The Northern Bridge was closed in both directions after its roadway, trolleybus line and a power line were damaged.

"The enemy's overnight attack damaged energy facilities in the Kyiv and Zhytomyr regions," Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko wrote. Heating and water supply in Kyiv were disrupted, and media report Chernihiv completely without power.

Strikes on Russia

Rosneft's Saratov refinery caught fire after a drone attack; a witness told the Astra outlet of more than 40 explosions in Saratov and Engels. Governor Busargin reported injuries but gave no figures. Russia's Defence Ministry claims it shot down 411 Ukrainian drones over ten regions, Crimea, and the Azov and Black seas.
