Ariane 6 returns on November 23 with 36 Amazon Leo satellites, fewer flights this year than planned

Arianespace has scheduled the next Ariane 6 launch for no earlier than November 23, about seven weeks after the provisional October 7 date, European Spaceflight reports. The Ariane 64 configuration, with four boosters, will carry 36 Amazon Leo satellites.
The French daily La Tribune reported that the delay was caused by a liquid-hydrogen turbopump anomaly found during an engine acceptance test; ArianeGroup has not confirmed this, and a spokesperson says "the situation is on track".
Fewer flights
It would be Ariane 6's fifth flight this year and tenth since its debut in July 2024. About six flights are now expected in 2026 instead of seven or eight, with the last carrying the MetOp-SG-B1 weather satellite. The target for 2027 is nine to ten launches.
