United Russia wins about 58 percent in Duma election as turnout hits highest level since 2011

The ruling United Russia party won about 58 percent of the vote in the State Duma election held from September 18 to 20, Central Election Commission data showed with 93 percent of precincts processed. The Communist Party (KPRF) had about 14 percent, LDPR nine, New People eight, and A Just Russia cleared the five percent threshold.
Turnout of 59.32 percent was the highest since 2011, according to CEC data cited by Meduza. Yabloko did not run on the party list after the Supreme Court barred it in August.
"Very dirty means"
Meduza's sources describe "corporate mobilisation": teachers in Yakutsk had to report whether pupils' parents voted, and the KPRF in Altai Krai says employees voted "under threat of dismissal". A Kremlin-linked political strategist said the record was achieved "through very dirty means".
