A night of 227 drones: air defence downs 196, three injured in Kyiv region, energy hit

Russia launched 227 drones at Ukraine from 18:00 on November 5, including 86 jet-powered Shaheds, and air defence downed or suppressed 196, Ukraine's Air Force said. Hits were recorded at 14 locations and debris fell at eight. The report lists no missiles.

In Kyiv region three people were injured in Boryspil district and a house and outbuilding burned down, the regional administration head said. Energy facilities were damaged in Bila Tserkva and Obukhiv districts, where a blast wave shattered windows at a school and a dormitory. In Dnipropetrovsk region ten drones were downed; infrastructure, homes and a sports complex in Kamianske were damaged, with no casualties.

Strikes in Russia

Authorities in Krasnodar Krai said drone debris started a fire "at an enterprise in Afipsky" without saying it was the refinery; the outlet Astra published photos of a fire at the fuel tank farm. Kyiv has not confirmed the attack. Krasnodar airport was temporarily closed.
